POSITION DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the Director of Accounting, the Sr Accountant will play a key role in the general accounting areas and processes. This individual will utilize their strong communication skills, as a business partner to the Accounting & Finance Department, and work cross-departmentally as needed. The ideal candidate will thrive working both independently on various accounting related tasks, as well as leading processes. Having a strong attention to detail, as well as being organized, flexible and having the ability to multi-task with ease will be critical in this role to be able to best support Solve’s growth and evolving accounting needs. **This is a hybrid (split between remote/onsite weekly) work schedule.**
RESPONSIBILITIES:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Evaluate assigned Solve accounting policies, in addition to continuously amending and adding relevant policies, as needed
- Actively participate, through preparation of journal entries and reconciliations, in month-end close for assigned areas of responsibility, including: cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, prepaids, accruals, debt etc with a focus on complex accounting areas
- Take the initiative to identify opportunities for improvement of current processes, or implementation of new processes to ensure consistent and streamlined accounting and related financial close processes, as well as maintaining compliance with established internal controls over transactions and reporting, through leveraging technology or other resources
- Lead and participate in efforts for the execution of new accounting processes, as well as offering continuous guidance for all Solve employees, as an Accounting “go-to” expert for the organization
- Partner with the Director of Accounting to investigate and resolve any unusual or unexpected accounting related items that arise
- Liaise with Department Leadership across the organization to identify and resolve issues at the root cause to mitigate future discrepancies
- Participate in the integration (processes and/or systems) of acquired businesses
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2+ years Accounting experience
- Excellent problem solving & trouble-shooting skills
- The ability to clearly communicate and articulate financial topics, processes and/or concerning issues to both internal and external stakeholders
- A continuous improvement mindset, as well as being confident in taking initiative to proactively act upon such opportunities
- CPA preferred
- Public Accounting and/or relevant industry experience
- Experience working in a private equity backed company, and/or in a mergers and acquisitions environment
- Experience working with Epicor and/or OneStream
