B&B Manufacturing, LLC., a Solve IMG company, produces and distributes custom and standard synchronous drive products that include timing belts, timing belt pulleys, roller chain sprockets, gears and related parts for the power transmission and precision mechanical component industries. We supply distributors and manufacturers with thousands of various components. As we continue to scale, we are seeking an experienced Purchasing Coordinator to support and execute purchasing activities within a collaborative procurement team.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the Purchasing Supervisor, the Purchasing Coordinator will manage purchasing tasks with minimal oversight while maintaining accuracy, responsiveness, and strong supplier communication. The ideal candidate will support purchasing activities involving both domestic and international suppliers. The Purchasing Coordinator will exercise their multi-tasking skills, while collaborating cross-departmentally.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Independently process and manage purchase orders for assigned materials and suppliers
  • Confirm supplier receipt of purchase orders and actively follow up on acknowledgments
  • Monitor order status, delivery dates, and open commitments; proactively escalate issues
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, changes, and delivery timing
  • Coordinate with Inventory Control to support inventory availability and expediting needs
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records, logs, and ERP data
  • Assist with indirect purchasing of office, factory, and janitorial supplies as needed
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to purchasing processes
  • Attend meetings and support cross-functional collaboration as required
  • Follow all company safety, quality, and procedural standards
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or operations support roles
  • Strong proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience in manufacturing or distribution environments
  • Exposure to offshore sourcing or international supplier coordination
  • Familiarity with tariffs, duties, or landed cost concepts
