POSITION DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Quality Assurance Technician works with the Engineering & Quality Departments to ensure ISO9001 compliance with company standard processes and procedures. While thriving in a fast-paced work environment, the QA Technician will exercise their high attention to detail, and savvy problem-solving skills in leading all quality assurance activities within the functional departments. The ideal candidate will flex their strong communication skills while proposing and maintaining overall quality assurance initiatives in accordance with Solve’s established policies and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain ownership and responsibility for Solve’s Quality Management System, including relevant policies and procedures
- Conduct a variety of audits, such as: closing out audit findings, creating audits finding reports and define proper corrective and preventive actions
- Ensure timely resolution of NCMRs with supplier & internal corrective actions
- Interface with the Engineering and Operations Departments to ensure production of new products, or transfer of existing products are in accordance with approved engineering standards
- Communicate potential systemic quality issues to QA Supervisor
- Assist Engineering with necessary PPAP documentation and lead the non-commercial aspects of RMAs
- Assist inspectors by providing direction on first article and incoming inspection tasks and priorities
- Review and compile incoming inspection report templates
- Develop vendor and customer relationships to facilitate quality complaints & deficiencies resolution effectively
- Create initiatives inside the quality lab that will increase productivity and optimize workflow
- Manage gauge tracking system and calibration cycling, including logistics and scheduling
- Conduct supplier quality assurance audits on a regular basis to ensure vendors and sub-contractors maintain compliance to SOLVE IMG’s ISO9001:2015 QMS
- Associates or Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- Fundamental understanding of form/fit/function of components and assemblies to ensure products meet or exceed customer requirements (packaging, function, durability, etc.)
- Applied knowledge of geometric, dimension, and tolerance principles (GD&T)
- Practical (shop) experience
- Ability to repetitively lift 50lbs
- Experience in the bearings and power transmission field
- 1+ Years Quality related experience and/or training
- Familiarity with ANSI & Metric unit systems
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain
